On August 27, this reviewer said: “Although I believe that she really hasn’t deserved some of the awards she has won, I do like Taylor Swift. I really enjoyed her first album and songs from her second album such as “Fearless” or “Love Story.” When her platinum version of “Fearless” was released, I saw a lot of growth in her song “Untouchable.”
“Mine” is a catchy tune: the chorus is legit. But when I listen to the song, it reminds me of “Love Story.” Taylor Swift commented that this album was going to be about speak now. That’s a different turn from her two previous albums….which means she’s maturing. I believe that the chorus of “Mine” shows that. However, the rest of the song has the same theme she has been singing on her other two albums.
Having said that, I have high hopes for “Speak Now.” I believe that she has great potential to be an amazing singer.” This person named their review Reminds me of Love Story and they gave Mine a 3 star rating.
On August 24, this reviewer said: “When it has came down to Taylor Swift, she has honestly been the cream of the crop musically with young and old audiences. After her stunning Album Of The Year Grammy victory for Fearless earlier this year, what seems to be next for Taylor. Her latest single, Mine from her upcoming album Speak Now, isn’t a bad song and stands taller than the recent garbage that jokes like Katy Perry and Rihanna have shown in their songs. I really hope that Taylor deliver something bigger than a striking bite when her album comes up later this year. The worst thing she could do is not say it would be hers. Mine isn’t as strong as Love Story had shown, it still isn’t a bad song overall.
