Poker Face by Lady Gaga

Poker Face enjoys a ranking of #1 and this week is being voted up as one of the top dance music songs on the radio. Let’s see what others had to say:
In a review on January 23 entitled Catchy catchy catchy, wintersongs wrote, “What caught my ear was the melody of the line, “Can’t read my, can’t read my, no he can’t read my poker face.” Once I found myself singing along to the only line that I knew, I was hooked. I had to pay attention to the rest of the song. That was then. Now I know all the lyrics. I love this song. It comes with a danceable beat, fun production, and catchy melody. What more do you need in a successful dance pop song? Her strong voice is a bonus.” This listener gave Poker Face a 5 star rating.
On December 04, this reviewer said: “Poker Face (Lady GaGa) / B001IXQU3O
Not being deeply connected to the music world, I had never even heard of “Lady GaGa” before Pandora cheekily popped this song up into my play list. The song was, for me at least, instantly addicting - the beat is compelling, the vocals are interesting, and the lyrics truly hilarious fun. (How can you miss with lines like “Russian roulette is not the same without a gun / and, baby, when it’s love, if it’s not rough it isn’t fun”?) I gather that I’m not the only person who wants to hear this song over and over, and it will be a shame if it is Killed by Radio, but if you haven’t heard it yet, give it a listen and see for yourself.
Like all Amazon MP3 downloads, this MP3 is DRM-free and plays beautifully, without fuss on my MP3 player.

” This person named their review Instantly Addictive and they gave Poker Face a 5 star rating.
In a review on September 01 entitled good for dancing, skateata wrote, “good for dancing. the music is really bouncy.
Lady Gagas lyrics are a little upsetting though. “i wanna take a ride on your disco stick..”" This listener gave Poker Face a 4 star rating.
On July 14, this reviewer said: “This is another good tune for working out or running to while it is on my iPod but I bet that once the newness wears off I’ll rarely return to it since I can’t ever see me thinking “gee I really want to hear that Poker Face song”" This person named their review ok, pop that won’t age well and they gave Poker Face a 3 star rating.
In a review on July 13 entitled wow, mjhajec wrote, “Wow. This isnt a song. I could make this song in 5 or so mins. Its all just using the program called reason. Its just so annoying!! Im sick of hearing it everywhere!!! Shouldnt even get one star!!!” This listener gave Poker Face a 1 star rating.

I like a little syrup in my day.” This listener gave Fireflies a 4 star rating.
On March 26, this reviewer said: “Yes this song (and the whole album) bears great resemblance to music by The Postal Service. If you like The Postal Service, then that’s a good thing. Since The Postal Service only released one real album back in 2003, I’m glad that Owl City has filled that space that they left. Their whole album Ocean Eyes has a great sound to it; especially this one, Firefly.” This person named their review Quit whinning that it sounds like The Postal Service. Just Dance by Lady Gaga

Just Dance maneuvers into #3 on our list and is consistently among the top dance songs this week. People have many thoughts on this song. You can listen to it and provide your own feedback by clicking the link below.
On August 22, this reviewer said: “Just Dance (Lady GaGa) / B001IXSU8W
It’s probably time to admit I’m hooked - I’ve yet to hear a Lady GaGa song that I haven’t loved. For this electric dance track, I was hooked from the get-go, and delighted to learn that this one is available for download for Rock Band, for enthusiasts like myself. And this is the song to play if you’re looking for a challenge - the vocals difficulty for this song is maxed out.
Like all Amazon MP3 downloads, this MP3 is DRM-free and plays beautifully, without fuss on my MP3 player.

” This person named their review Challenging! and they gave Just Dance a 5 star rating.
In a review on April 02 entitled I must admit I’m hooked. 4 stars., coops11 wrote, “Just Dance features a mean dance beat and is catchier than hell. Yes, I’m late in saying this, and yes, I’m still not *really* a fan of her yet (weird clothes aside, that has nothing to do with the music) but I find this song extremely catchy so I decided to buy it earlier today. And I’m still playing it on and off!
Yes, it’s disposable dance pop but remember this and hold onto it tightly: not ALL music needs to have a deep meaning. This just happens to be one of those songs.
As I’m writing this, I don’t plan on purchasing any of her albums just yet. BUT if I were to, I’d probably get The Fame Monster [Deluxe Edition] because the download price is only 12 bucks for like 20 songs! However, some of the songs on The Fame aren’t my cup of tea anyway (from the samples) so I must say that that wouldn’t necessarily be a great step.
Ah, I remember the first time I heard this song at the bar I used to attend and I almost lost it. And not in a good way! But now I appreciate the song, almost 2 years later.
4 stars or an 8/10.” This listener gave Just Dance a 4 star rating.
In a review on March 18 entitled a guilty pleasure, smedina146 wrote, “YES! I admit it!! I love this song. I cant get it out of my head and I subbcombed to my reservations and downloaded it…what a catchy tune! It is now played constantly. ((hanging head in shame.)) so sue me!
Its awesome” This listener gave Just Dance a 5 star rating.
In a review on September 28 entitled Just Dance!, kvampbella wrote, “This song played all thru my Honeymoon trip to Montreal. Bought the Album because it brings back happy memories” This listener gave Just Dance a 5 star rating.
On September 23, this reviewer said: “Not sure why this one was the most popular our of her 3 main singles. It’s not even that fun to dance to. Gaga is lucky to have talented producers backing her and her 15 minutes which will most likely be over soon. Somewhat catchy but forgettable. She is a temporary buck for Universal and a fad I will be glad to see pass.” This person named their review I danced and now I’m tired after a few listens… and they gave Just Dance a 2 star rating.

On April 03, this reviewer said: “This is a great song. My two year old loves Lady Gaga. The song downloaded with no problems” This person named their review Great song and they gave Paparazzi a 5 star rating.
On January 30, this reviewer said: “Lady GaGa’s “Paparazzi” is a true guilty pleasure anthem. When Lady GaGa penned “The Fame”,she still wasn’t famous. She created a persona. “Paparazzi” is a tongue-in-cheek approach to her own fame. It’s sung from a smitten fangirl’s perspective. One can easily imagine a fangirl waving these books- Lovin’ Bloom: The Unauthorized Story of Orlando Bloom,Robert Pattinson: True Love Never Dies and Elijah Wood: Hollywood’s Hottest Rising Star for an autograph while belting out “I’m following you till you love me.”
“Paparazzi” is about those who call themselves the crowd. “We’re plastic but we still have fun!”
A true guilty pleasure anthem.” This person named their review Fangirl Anthem and they gave Paparazzi a 5 star rating.
On October 21, this reviewer said: “Gaga always delivers a great dance tune. People who like this and other great dance tunes should also check out the new release, Rainy Day (Nightlife Mix)’Rainy Day (Nighlife Mix)’ by Gallery of Voices.” This person named their review Great Dance Tune! and they gave Paparazzi a 5 star rating.
In a review on October 21 entitled ad hoc Greatness, mxt890 wrote, “Take this song for what it is. It’s extremely catchy and meant to entertain most people. If you are not entertained by it, then skip to the next track, turn the station, or leave the club.” This listener gave Paparazzi a 5 star rating.
On September 23, this reviewer said: “Not nearly as catchy as Pokerface or Lets dance. Gaga is just another label created artist who is lucky enough to be backed by the talented producers behind the tracks. This particular offering is the least appealing of her singles.” This person named their review 15 minutes of “Fame” are almost up… and they gave Paparazzi a 2 star rating.

On March 11, this reviewer said: “This song sounds like something from the 60’s out of Nashville. And I absolutely love it! I’m only 32, and this came on the air locally on an alternative/rock/indie station. (Anya Marina (song “Satellite Heart” from Twighlight movie) was a DJ at it). Anyways, This song is just plain awesomeness. ;-)” This person named their review Wow. Talk about modern retro awesomeness. LoL and they gave Home a 5 star rating.
In a review on October 01 entitled Just plain fun!, robi0304 wrote, “I originally heard this song played on Letterman and I found myself humming it for the next week. Eventually I knew I realized I would just have to purchase it. Needless to say, I’ve not been disappointed. It’s got a seriously Johnny Cash/June Carter feel with the enthusiasm of Rockabilly-meets-Phish. It’s just plain fun!” This listener gave Home a 5 star rating.
On September 02, this reviewer said: “I first heard this song and thought, “Damn, what a catchy song!” It made me think of my girlfriend and how sweet our love can be, so I told her about it. No problem with that!” This person named their review Guilty Pleasure and they gave Home a 4 star rating.

Glitter In The Air (Explicit) by P!nk

Glitter In The Air (Explicit) finds itself at #8 on our list and has achieved a solid ranking in our list of Top Dance Hits. Does this song deserve its place on the list? Read these reviews and find out!
On August 04, this reviewer said: “”Glitter in the Air” outshines Pink’s repertoire. Ever since Pink marketed herself as the “anti-Britney”, I’ve found her music overrated. She has a beautiful husky voice, but her songs have tended to be “so what?” to me. However, “Glitter in the Air” shines brightly. It’s a beautiful, heartbreaking ballad about being in a dysfunctional relationship. It’s poignant, passionate, and powerful. Usually, Pink is wild, attempting to combine R&B with pop along with punk rock (which is NOT FOR THE WEAK!) This song is quiet, meditative. Once Pink’s punk brashness is swept away, she shows her heart and soul. “Glitter in the Air” sparkles,a jewel in the crown of 2010’s pop music.” This person named their review “All that glitters is not gold” and they gave Glitter In The Air (Explicit) a 5 star rating.
On February 03, this reviewer said: “I’ve never really been into Pink or bought any of her music. After Pink’s Grammy performance, I was mesmerized. I couldn’t get that song or performance out of my head. She is a true artist and I now plan on going to her concert when she starts up again. It’s unfortunate that artists with more flash are getting more attention. Her performance was simple (actually it LOOKED simple, but very complicated), flawless and memorable. She rocks and will be around for a very long time. If your colleagues mouths gaped open in awe, you must be doing something right. I bought this because of her performance at the Grammy’s. It’s simply beautiful.” This person named their review Amazing performance and song at Grammy’s. and they gave Glitter In The Air (Explicit) a 5 star rating.
In a review on February 02 entitled Truly Talented, ms_nikki48 wrote, “I watched her performance on the Grammy’s and I instantly fell in love with the song. Beautiful! How did I not hear this before?” This listener gave Glitter In The Air (Explicit) a 5 star rating.
On November 26, this reviewer said: “Well done, P!nk.
There is so much junk on the radio and being released (Britney, Beyonce). This song by P!nk is actually meaningful and beautifully done.” This person named their review beautiful song and they gave Glitter In The Air (Explicit) a 4 star rating.

I Can’t Feel by Matthew Dear

I Can’t Feel maneuvers into #10 on our list and is consistently among the top dance songs this week. People have many thoughts on this song. You can listen to it and provide your own feedback by clicking the link below.
In a review on August 04 entitled Can’t sit still while listening to this one, oy_vey_i_dont_want_a_nickname wrote, “One thing is obvious about Matthew Dear: He really cares about sound. His song “I can’t feel” was meticulously arranged, recorded, and mixed, and the audio quality is fantastic. (I’m a sucker for artists who carefully craft the stereo image of their recordings, like David Bowie did on the original mix of “Space Oddity”, for example.) I don’t know how to describe the track except to liken it to David Bowie’s “Fame” and “Station to Station.” The growled/muttered vocals sound much like a deeper-voiced Bowie, and the relentlessly repetitive stereo guitar (one for each ear) and bass recall the long (railroad train-evoking) intro to “Station to Station”. Oh, and it has a beat that won’t let you sit (or stand) still — just what you’d expect from a dance music producer/DJ. I like it a lot.” This listener gave I Can’t Feel a 4 star rating.
